About Mon Janala

Thank you for using the Mon Janala mobile application.

Our mind and body are deeply interconnected, which is why caring for mental health is just as important as caring for physical health. In Bangladesh, mental health support is still not widely accessible across the country. Public understanding of mental health remains limited, and misconceptions combined with negative social attitudes often prevent individuals and families from accessing even the limited mental health services available. According to the National Mental Health Survey (2018–2019), approximately 17% of adults in Bangladesh experience some form of mental health condition—and nearly 91% of them do not receive any treatment.

In this context, the Mon Janala mobile application has been developed under the comprehensive supervision of the Innovation for Wellbeing Foundation, with financial support from UNDP Bangladesh’s “Psychosocial Support for Resilient Community Building” project. The goal is to raise awareness about mental health and provide psychosocial support to the people of Bangladesh.
